Outreach activities

In this section of the Marine Logbook, Knowing the past of our ocean with Foraminifera, you will find several galleries showing the various activities carried out to publicise the DETECTORS research project.

Talks

Various talks were held on climate change, plankton, foraminifera, and this project at the Mirador Interactive Museum (MIM), the Más Programme for older adults in Lo Espejo, Liceo Pencopolitano B 40, and the Natural History Museum of Concepción.

Science fair

We participated in a scientific fair held in Coquimbo, where we showed visual material (posters and illustrations) and didactic material (foraminiferal samples, USB microscopes, and 3D foraminiferal models, among others).

Art exhibition

A small exhibition was held at the Concepción Natural History Museum and Mirador Interactive Museum (MIM) related to the project with its own and third-party illustrations (mainly planktonic and benthic foraminifera).
